I
would prefer that you use a binder for this course, as I will be giving you
many handouts. You will also need to
bring your own paper and pens. All
assignments must be completed in blue/black pen, or typed. You will be given a consistent amount of
homework throughout the semester and you must have your own novel each
day. Having your novel and doing your
homework are worth marks. Your
portfolios are folders which will contain many of your marked assignments and
your best or favorite writing assignments.
Regarding
rules, I have a few. You many have
water, but you cannot have food, or any other kind of liquids. Be on time; there will be consequences for
tardiness. Also, come prepared for
class. That means bring your English
binder, novel, any text, or novel I may give you and pens, pencils, erasers and
paper. Please respect the
classroom. Don’t write on, or put things
in the desks.
I
look forward to working with you all this semester. I am sure that it will be both rewarding and
productive.
