This year's E.L.P.A. was written in January (writing) and March
(reading). We are still awaiting the results from this year's

Literacy
District 6 now has a single literacy mentor responsible for high
schools. She is Mary Stillwell, a teacher based at KVHS. Part of her
role as mentor includes the promotion of literacy initiatives
throughout the district, and one of these initiatives is the
establishment of a cross-curricular literacy PLC at each high school, a
working group that will develop, encourage and promote literacy
initaitives at each school. Tara Finnigan is the English Department representative on this committee chaired by Mr. Robert Peters, a vice-principal at HHS. Look for news of this group and the work they do on the school website.
