Scholarship Information

The list below covers both local and national scholarships. The Guidance Centre makes every effort to ensure that the list is accurate and up to date, but please be aware that some scholarships and due dates can change. Due to changes in some organizations, some scholarships may not be offered from one year to the next, or new scholarships may be added. It is the responsibility of each student to make sure scholarships are submitted on time. If you do notice changes in scholarships or due dates that the Guidance Centre has missed, please let us know.

In addition to the information found below, a scholarship list is kept in the Guidance Centre and one is also posted in January on the Guidance Bulletin Board located just outside the Guidance Centre near the cafeteria. Students are encouraged to visit the Guidance Centre and speak with a Guidance Counsellor regarding scholarship applications.

Researching and applying for scholarships should begin September of Grade 12, and continue throughout the school year. Many national scholarships are due before the Christmas Break, with most provincial and local scholarships due in March, April and May. Please be aware that letters of reference may be required, and students should plan ahead when asking for a reference letter. Having a current resume ready to submit with scholarship applications, if necessary, can also save time. Students may also need to be nominated by teachers in some cases.
